    Default Cardboard Khomeini

Cardboard Khomeini? At first I thought this was a joke. But the Iranians apparently celebrated the anniversary of Khomeini's return to Iran in 1979 by parading around a cardboard cutout of the sadistic theocratic tyrant, with full military honors.

O.K. if you need more evidence that the regime in Iran is absolutely insane, here you have it. (This is also proof that poor aesthetic choices are the first symptom that something is wrong with a society -- which means we're all pretty doomed.)

I think it was the "brotherly hand" of foreign occupiers that empowered radical Islam in Iran in the first place. Iran is not Iraq. Of all the totally insane and brutal theocratic dictatorships, Iran is the most heartbreaking and the most dangerous. Iran is very advanced and the Iranian people, would have a much better chance at creating their own stable democracy than any other such state. But the advanced nature of Iran is also what makes it dangerous/ -- and let's assume that most governments are corrupt -- but even in the face of the most pessimisitic view of all governments, Iran's current government still takes the prize for being the absolute craziest. (Only the Taliban comes close but they are currently not in the race.) They are going to be an extreme danger because they are a very advanced country ruled by unpredictable lunatics. (Which is different from brutal, murderous, torturous sex crazed lunatics -- which most countries have to varying degrees -- because the latter are at least predictable.)

Why not just hire Sean Connery dressed up like Khomeini? I mean it would be less ridiculous than this and I'm sure that Connery would be very convincing.

Somewhere in Pyongyang, in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, someone is taking notes of this new technique.

Marking the anniversary of Kim Il Sung, maybe a horse maybe needed as well, better it be white, oh yeah, Kim Il sung in his 30s, smiling with outstretch hand, maybe even include the Dear Leader as well, with maybe a grey horse. Yes this is coming well indeed. Cardboard strapped in horses. Comrade Minister will love this idea, he might even promote me or recognize me in our weekly committee meetings! I might even get a kilo of meat products as a token for my brilliant idea!

Who knows? This idea can be recycled, we could even make a giant cardboard of the Dear Leader waving his hand the DMZ line, that would really piss off those capitalist southern cowards. Then military parades, factory inspections farm inspections, tours, party meetings....HAH! Its as if the Dear Leader never left us....

(Its clickable by the way....An S2 overhaul mod.)

Seriously. Click it. Its the only overhaul mod that's overhauling enough to bring out NEW clans

No need for cardboard, the Dear Leader is being preserved, they could use his actual body.

The Shia revere pictures of the Ayatollah Khomenei. This is heresy in its truest form. May Allah forgive them.

I don't see what is political about this or what can be discussed. Or is it made to state how bad the regime is (even though majority of Iranians keep supporting it)

It gave us all a laugh though. It may encourage some nerds to parade a cardboard cut out of Jeri Ryan on the anniversary of the end of the Star Trek Voyager series.
