There is not much pint in having highly detailed hands, as there is only one bone per hand. A highly detailed hand increases the poly count of a unit, increases lag and will always be in the same shape, you cannot make fingers for them or anything like that.

maybe only the fingers with out bones only the shapes where they use the hands for??
may be a thumb is good?
do you have to pay for playing darthmod online?
Well even a thumb is pointless, it would just stay in the same place all the time. Detailed hands are pointless in the RTw engine. They wont function like proper hands, and add unecessary polys to models making performance worse.

Do you realise how little texture space a hand takes up. Now, you could use a much larger area to produce a much more detailed texture of a hand, or do nicer armour. I'd go for the latter, as you are much more likely to notice the armour than the hand.

now thats the point!
Whats the point? I just said there no point in doing detailed hands as they are such a small part of the unit.

But the texture for the hand is TINY, making the texture for the hand would require making the texture for other parts of the unit smaller, which is pointless as the hand is a tiny part of the unit.
