Anyone else think its weird...

That watching "Lets Play" videos on youtube is actually more fun than playing the actual game?

If i watch a "lets play" series of RTW/Any mod of RTW i can watch all episodes but when i play the actual game i get bored 20 turns in the game.

Well I'd almost say that after losing 2 full stack armies in one turn this morning, but no in the game I feel engaged and if you learn a bit more and play some more I think you will get past the 20 turns really easy.

yeah I know the feeling, it's sometimes more interesting to watch someone else play the game, applies for all the games

Nah. I understand getting bored sometimes. I usually try to limit how many turns I'm going to play per day. Just like 10 or something so I don't burn out. Gives me something to think about when I'm bored at work or something like that.

I haven't commanded a game in probably over a month now. When I mod, I make the changes, then make sure that the changes take effect, then run an AI campaign to see the effects.

Funny as hell when the Scipii struggle to take North Africa, and when they do, Carthage has built such a base of power in Spain that they can go toe to toe with the Julii for 100 years

Oh, and watching the Brutii being thrown back into the sea by Macedon.

Well, I do enjoy watching some people playing Rome total war, as when they do really stupid things in Battles, I love screaming at the computer, "FLANK HIM FOR

SAKE!" for example.

There are a lot of people on Youtube that know how to upload a high quality video, but as for playing the game, most of them are awful to the point i can't take it anymore.

Ive been burned out now for the lsat 2 or so months. Before that I went on a marathon whrere I played for 8+ hours a day for 3 weeks. Now I cant play more than 3 turns without saying

it and then playing some random fps.

For me it depends on the development of the campaign if I get bored. Sometimes the AI is just not a threat at all... As for watching let's plays, yes, I sometimes prefer it to playing the game myself, but it really depends on the style of the LP (I prefer those with player commentary, especially if it's funny).

Lol yeah, i wasn't actually paying attention when he ordered Wallace to attack, so on the battlemap i was like WTH? ... the poor guy didn't even realize that he was missing 3000 troops haha!
