Too lazy to write it all again so I just copy&pasted what i wrote at the .com:
Today i received my copy of GameStar, a german pc magazine, which includes a DVD containing some very nice MTWII footage, which have not yet been seen.
So first of to all of you who can get a copy of the magazine go out an grab it or at least hope that your local pc magazines also feature a MTWII video.
As to the shown content:
First shot is of an English army being deployed with all the actual interfaces and stuff on display. It looks really nice, although it hasn't changed much from Rome. Only the lower right portion is new, but the changes are hard to describe.
Next thing you see a Crusader army fighting against Muslim units. The guy from the magazine is actually fighting the battle, showing off the really sweet loading/shooting animations of various artillery pieces. Then he launches a half-hearted flank attack on the enemy ranks and you can see some more fighting.
All in all the video is only around 3 min. long, but it gives you a pretty good feeling how the games is gonna play out, at least on the Battlemap. The reporter says that he can't show any Campaing Shots, because Sega/CA want to show them off later.
One really cool thing I noticed was, that there was one unit in the Crusader army that pushed a big Cross in front of them, like the standard (spelling?) of the army. Really nice touch I think and quite realistic. Hopefully you have to watch out for it and get heavy penalties if you loose it to the faithless!

Yes, it's the same one as in the Gamespot videos, now that you mention it. I have only watched them in lo-res but I guess they're the same. You have the face of your general in the middle and the circular buttons are used to order 'Fire at Will' or to switch to burning ammunition. So it's kind of the same functions as in RTW, just a different layout. Further to the right are still 3 more square buttons whose function I can only guess. One of them will probably bring up the formations, but since they are not used I can't tell.
I didn't look at the kill-rate and the battle is really not shown in its entirety. You see him charge five units of knights into the Muslim army. Then he does a flyover of your troops and when he returns there's already three cavalry units fleeing, so it seems quite quick, now that I think about it.
But since there's no real infantry clash I can't say anything about the front lines and for all I know he might have charged the cavalry straight into some Spears.
There are definetly warriors around the Cross. It looks pretty much like an artillery unit right down to the unit tag and everything, only that it's a cross.
@ Amenbat
The reviewer really doesn't have anything new to say. He just points out how great the graphics look and mentions that units have a morale system, as if we didn't knew that one already. He also talks about impassable terrain, which you can see in the battle. Theres is a massive mountain range just to the right of the fighters.
And I'll see what I can do about the YouTube thing.![]()
On thing I forgot to mention was that at the beginning there is a prebattle speech, but since the reviewer is also talking you can't hear much of it. The voice is well chosen for the English army however and sounds good!
The more often I watch the video the more the similarities with RTW strike me. The way you select units and group them is exactly the same. Also there are those green arrows around selected units and when you drag them in formation there appear yellow arrows on the ground with a red arrow showing the dircetions they'll face, just like RTW really.
So I'll guess you won't have to adjust to the controls if you've played RTW.
