after several weeks of being inactive with my campaign due to lack of time... I have finally launched my Iberian Amphibious Invasion... I'm currently besieging Carthago Novo with 2 Legions... and I have another Legion on the way from Italy... after taking Carthago Novo what city would you suggest me guys.. do I go north for the Iberian Cities under Gallic Rule?? do I go west against the Iberian's themselves or south against Rome's most hated nation Carthiginian held cities?

Go against Carthage just cause they are easier to take and you can gain a lot of money from the mones there.

Take the gallic city, you 'll be able to raise a new legion or refresh your old ones.

Best way is to push from both sides. You do really need about six legions for this as you need to have yourself covered and you can meet a STRONG stack thatll cost you half of your army, which means no siege under garrison script and such. Take course on the mediterrean shore from both sides. Besiege Carthago Nova and head north to connect your land with Italy. Then with good roads you can march fresh troops in no time. Also, the more legions you have, the less likely are the enemies to attack. Clearing entire Iberian Peninsula is truly a hard annoying long battle since the cities most western placed are pain to keep and hard to reinforce armies in there.

How many troops you have? If three, get at least three more and then take Iberia south and north shore at the same time. It generates ALOT of money.

I always garrison the mountain crossings with fort and sally out with archer based army to defend. Then I have always total of 3, but better 4 legions up there. Mercenaries help ALOT. Eventually I end up with fully merc army just for the sheer lul of no manpower at all for defense. 3 legions for Iberia is a joke.

what I mean about 2 legions up norther italy is they are inside forts, 1 between the mountains the other a few clicks to the east of the border with Dacia...

What you dont want is to get angry Germans and Dacians. They have quite formidble cavalry units and some really mean infantry. While generally especially Dacians are not that much of an enemy, they can catch you by surprise kickin you where you stand. Germans, they just roll. At the point they throw 3 units of Berserkers and 5 cavalry at you, oh well. Train new legion straight away.

As Hesus suggested, take out a couple cities here n there along the shore, then take the Carthage lands. Iberia is rich enough to fund conquest of Africa and half of Gaul.

Not really. Do not focus on building up cities early too much. Focus on expanding and securing safe border first. Its better to recruit great amount of troops fast and get rich locations liek Greece and Iberia, these can fuel your expansions greatly.
Greece is enough to fuel entire Africa campaign and Iberia enough to bring Gaul down.

Warmachine needs one oil and that is money.
And remember what Hesus says : You dont have to pay a dead merc
