Vicinius Cornelius Picenus is a young man, slowly approaching maturity. His family are the famous Cornelii who have been true, loyal Romans since the city's first years. He was given the cognomen Picenus, from the Italian region of Picenum, located on the Adriatic Coast, where he grew up. He is ambitious as it is appropriate for a man of his age, and puts the safety of Rome above all else. He seeks support from both patricians and plebians something that may lead to dilemmas should there be any conflict between them.

I don't know if this is good enough, should I add or change anything?

So when you say magistrate, what will my rank be? And how will that rank be related to my property and income?

Property plays little role in this game, unless you are referring to farms. What office you run for will affect your income because you will get a salary and some offices give you a unique ability to extort money, force people to give you bribes etc. As a senator you are eligible to run for any office. This thread is vital reading in my opinion and should answer a lot of your questions about magistracies.

Yes, I meant farms and slaves, basically. So I can run for any of these offices? I was thinking about Quaestor but I am not very familiar with how the econoy works so I would probably do a lousy job in the beginning. So Praetor sounds good, but maybe it's too high a rank for someone who just joined?

Nah, not really. You'd be vested with minimal imperium but chances are nobody is going to be filing any suits unless something silly happens. Praetor can be really fun to roleplay, too. Choose whatever you like- quaestors don't do too much work. Mostly simple math related to what things cost etc. Don't worry about messing up or doing something wrong, its easily corrected and I would MUCH rather see people taking initiative and messing up a bit then doing nothing at all.

A brief rundown of farms and slaves: Farms give your slaves a place to work, but without farms your slaves can't generate income. Each type of farm has a max limit on the number of slaves that can work on it and then a cap on how many farms you can own.

I see. So how many farms and slaves can a consul have? Will the limit increase if I become a praetor, quaestor etc?

No problem, I'm here to answer them. All players, regardless of rank, are capped at 4 small farms, 2 large farms, and one latifundia.

Latifundium! So I can do exports with that, I guess.

Latifundium is a huge farm. Two-hundred slaves work on it and you can only have one. But you first have to have two Large Farms and for one large farm you have to have two Small Farms

You trade with Liburna (small ship) you can have 15 of them and every costs 1000 denarii

So to get elected I have to open a nomination thread in the Forum? The next elections will happen on February 13th, right?

Since the term has already started, you can simply go to the Curia and announce your candidacy for an office that is either vacant or without a second position. (quaestor, for example. There can be two quaestors every term but we have only one right now)

At the end of the term we have nomination threads for the next term and usually elections followed, it just so happened that this week none of the position were being contested

How many praetors for each term? I wouldn't want to turn this into praetor overkill since we already have two.

Yeah, the Praetorship, Consulship, and all pro-Consulships are filled. You could be tribune, Quaestor, or Censor
