Installation problem

I downloaded the new version thorugh torrent and I installed the game in the Medieval 2\mods path
Now, everytime I try to play, the vanilla screen appears and after a few seconds it closes with a message popping up, but it has no words in it.
Am I doing something wrong?

I remember having the same problem with the 1.3 ver of this mod. But i can't recall what exactly solved that problem for me. It was either patching the ME 2 Kingdoms to the latest 1.5 ver (and note that it has 2 types of this patch, one for american and one for european version of the game, so choose the correct one) OR make sure that the install path is \...\Medieval II Total War\mods\Call_of_Warhammer (yes, the underscore lines are a must). Other than that check the warhammer.cfg file and the shortcut on desktop to make sure they point to the correct path. Hope this helps!

thank you gromov. I installed without the underlines and when writing them in the shortcut on the desktop, warhammer.cfg and renamed my folder it worked.

Summary: the path in the BAT and CFG file has to agree with the folder name of the mod.
