DLV Scotland unit overhaul: Preview 1 Professional Infantry

Scottish Unit Overhaul Preview 1

One of my biggest problems with vanilla (and every mod for M2TW that I have played) is the fact that the Scottish are passed off as belted plaid wearing woad faced barbarians. This is a massive misconception created by 19th century fantasy and films like Braveheart.

So I decided to put together some more accurate (bear in mind I'm not aiming for 100% historical accuracy) units for Scotland, here is the inspiration for what I have put together. They are really great paintings by Brian Palmer.

Here are four units that will form the core of the lower class Scottish troops.

Scottish Schiltron - two handed spearmen that are well equipped by their lords, best at fighting cavalry (especially English cavalry

) in the Schiltron formation. They also hold their own against infantry. (Particularly English infantry

)

Contains non upgraded, upgraded and dirt. the dirt is not from my skin but from having Shader 2.0 on.

@Mhaedros 2Handed highlanders are still in, but will look completely different compared to vanilla ones.
They will definitely not look like this.

Maybe some of these could find their way into SS. I haven't played Scotland in SS, but apparently it has a lot of Vanilla units.

is ur DLV even working .... im getting tons of crashes

It's mostly stable. But I've also had many crashes. Battlefield Balanced fixes the Faction selection CTD, but not the campaign/custom battle menu crash. And in campaign, some battles can also lead to CTD.
