Ok so for my retainers idea, I figured just using one or two important retainers would add a more unique feel to the game. So instead of everyone from generals to diplomats coming out with one name (everyone with Mori, or Uesugi for example.) adding some retainers with one retainer leading the family in the family tree. Just like how the Ouchi have the Sue, and the Urakami have the Ukita. I did some research which isn't done but made some good head way, here we go!

Date Clan- Nasu famous member Nasu Masayuki

Shimazu Clan- Iriki-In famous member Iriki-In Shigetomo, also Kikuchi

Takeda Clan- Anayama famous member Anayama Beisetsu (1532-1582), Baba famous member Baba Nobufusa (1514-1575)

Uesugi Clan- Kakizaki famous member Kakizaki Kageie

Mori Clan- Ankokuji famous member Ankokuji Ekei (D. 1600), Yagyu famous member Yagyu Munenori

Amako Clan- Yamanaka famous member Yamanaka Shikanosuke (!545-1578)

Oda Clan- Toyotomi of course, then Ikeda famous members Ikeda Nobuteru (1536-1584) and Ikeda Terumasa (1564-1613) and lastly Hashiba famous members Hashiba Hidenaga (1540-1591 Toyotomi Hideyoshi's brother!)

Imagawa- Abe famous member Abe Motozane (1513-1587) and Okabe famous members Okabe Chikatsuna and son Okabe Motonobe (D. 1581)

Matsudaira (Tokugawa)- Honda famous member Honda Tadakatsu (super awesome general and retainer) and Ii famous member Ii Naomasa, the Kato could also be used with Kato Kiyomasa as famous member.

SO so far that's all I have. Those were just a few that I knew, and were in my library of books on Japan. It would add a nice uniqueness to the mod and again break up everyone being named for one Clan.

Agreed, it would be nice to have other names in the clan, but the game is hardcoded and im unable to mod multi clan names.
They could be added as ancilliaries?

For every faction just add a family member with one of the retainer clans names, that should do it. Just like you have the Sue and Ukita for the Ouchi and Urakami Clans. That sets up different names. When I play Ouchi all my generals/spies/ninja/diplomats are either Ouchi or Sue, same for Urakami they're either Urakami or Ukita. The same also goes for if you get Ronin into the family line, one son has Sue one son has Ouchi. If it can be done that way do it that way.

Hi, downloaded this mod and I'am amazed at how good it is.

I do have one small question tough.

Before, after something went down which I'am not sure of what exactly it is, I can't see to get the game of "window" mode. Before all I had to do was change the resolution but now the game wont let me pick the one which allows me to full screen. Any body know I can do to to make it full screen?

Match same size as desktop settings, ie desktop is at 1920 x 1080 so game set at 1920x1080

Yeah I tried but my Desktop setting wasn't available. Any who, tks for the responce, I got it to match my on PC screen by installing the mod again.

Btw, sorry for all the questions but I was wondering if patch 2.7 was a standalone patch? or do I need other patches to get it to work? Also, I installed both 2.6 and 2.7 just to make sure but in the main game folder and not the BI folder. Somethings did change, so I guessed the patch worked and all but is patch 2.7 supposed to go in the BI folder instead of the main?

Hey BigBudd, i downloaded patch 2.7 and the game freezes when you chooses the clan and says something like "RTW-BI has found a problem and now will close". By the way, where do i install it? it is only to be sure of. Thanks!

Aha just checked, target bi folder on install, and delete map.rwm, its located bi/shogun2/data/world/maps/campaign/barbarian_invasion

yes bi folder, make sure you del the map.rwm file as well!

install 2.6 first, then 2.7 in bi folder, check clan description, Shimazu should now be Buddhist

Hello there, I just installed RTW 1.5 with Alexander and BI 1.6
Then RNJ 2.0+2.6+2.8
Everything seems okay but I got a CTD when I start a campaign, my ingame and desktop resolutions and matching (1600x900 16bit).

I tried an historical battle (Kawanakajima iirc) and it works like a charm, so I guess the problem is about the campaign itself or the campaign map, any tips ? Thanks in advance

try del the file map.rwm, its located, data/world/maps/campaign/barbarian_invasion

Have you try'd a different faction? or do all factions give a ctd?

I've tried with about 4-5 factions (Takeda, Satomi, the defending faction in the 1st historic battle, and 1 or 2 others)

Ok delete the entire shogun2 folder, install rnj 2.0 again and test, then 2.6 and test, then 2.8
Sounds like you have a corrupt install
