Wargs: how do you use them?

Hello,

I've took a break from TATW waiting for 3.0, and it was well worth it

The new settlements really look stunning.

I've decided to replay Isengard (my first campaign ever was Isengard) and I'm finding wargs very weak. Or rather, I can't find any good way to use them: They're rather weak in melee (even vs. cavalry)and their charge is pretty weak as well (so even if you charge into the back of some engaged unit you won't kill much and end up slaughtered in melee.

So, how would one make effective use of wargs?

Chasing down routers is always a good option. And only charging the opponent in the back when they've become tired and weary.

I play only H/H difficulty, but I find wargs very usefull and strong. Common cavalry unit tactics works just fine with them. Charge your enemy in melee with worthless snagas (or uruk raiders), circle around with wargs, charge into back. Works for me.

I use them mostly for chasing down routers. Also they can deliver the 'charge that breaks the enemy'. Don't commit them to battle on their own though.

Their charge seems very effective when AI uses it against me. But the cavalry charge overall has gotten some serious nerf for some reason as many have stated, even tho Third Age team say it is exactly the same as before.

Wargriders doesn't got lances and they are slower than normal cav. So their charge is less powerful. Nevertheless I use them for charges in the back of already fighting units. If you pull them back after the charge they won't lose much men, but do a respectable amount of damage.

And don't forget the mercenary cavalry you can recruit as Isengard. They got lances and are quick.

Since it got mention by k/t isengard wargs with RC are a lot stronger.They get higher numbers(100 in huge),horde formation and attack 9-charge 9,mass 2.0-but less armor.They actually beat rohan riders in melee.
