Re-enable banners for vanilla?
Having trouble getting banners to come back for the vanilla med 2 game. I tried messing with the medieval.preferences.cfg file in the med 2 folder and third age 3 folder to no avail. Running windows 7 64 and the med 2 preference file is just barebones with 2 lines. Just curious if there is a quick fix for this if I feel like having banners back up for a revisit to the kingdoms campaigns.

Re: Re-enable banners for vanilla?
Well I figured out my problem for anyone else that is curious. The preferences file you need to modify is not in the c:\program files\sega\medieval2 folder for win 7 to get the banners to show again. Here is the location of the preferences cfg file that needs to be changed for win7 users, C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Sega\Medieval2 Total War. In that file you obviously want to change showbanner from 0 to 1 to enable them.I apologize for double posting and I actually found the solution from looking in germanicus sticky up top related to ctd issues with win7.
