    Default Announcing Publicus Romanus:Total War

    PUBLICUS ROMANUS:TOTAL WAR
A MOD OF AND FOR THE PEOPLE

The aim of this modification (for RTW v1.3) is the take some of the big names in modification and bring them to you in one consolidated mod. Be it webbird, ferres, AICord, even some large mod teams, Publicus Romanus tries to take the best and brightest work of the community and put it together! What to expect in the first release:
    - Complete reskins for all factions
    - Stone Walls for Barbarians
    - New Faction Icons/Symbols/Banners
    - New Loading Screens
    - Unit Formations by Darth Vader
    - New Forts
    - And much more!

Do not be fooled. This may be the first time you have heard of PR:TW, but at the moment it is in quite an advanced stage of development.
For a sneak peak at some of the units and other things, as well as make suggestions and impact the direction in which this mod goes, please visit our forums here.

Moved to the Mod Threads - mini Mods forum as this is where all mod advertisement should go.

Looks like an interesting mod Publius, though i do notice some similarities with TE, which is no bad thing.

Good idea with combining the mods but I have a question, You said your modding v1.3, Is that the one with the memory leak problem?

ELB - yes, this is the patch with the memory leak, but there are a few things which make this not so bad:
    1) Computers with 512 MB Ram might be effected, but any computer with more than this will feel this very minimally (unless they play for about 12 hours straight)
    2) Some measures have been taken in this mod to increase framerate in certain instances, such as toning down the fire arrow model.
    3) Most of the slowdown occurs when exiting the program. After exiting, it may take 2-3 minutes for the computer free the memory which was being used while running RTW. As most people are only concerned with in game performance, I dont think this should be too big an issue.

So I would say yes, but often this memory leak gets blown a little out of proportion. All computers are different, so I cant say whether or not performance on anyone's in particular will be different, for better or worse. I guess you will just have to try it and find out

Also, in other news a Publicus Romanus Website is currently under construction, which may be available for use within the next week or so. For now, you will have to content yourself with the invisionfree forums we have.
