It's obvious that a lot of thought and effort went into RTR 7. Congrats on a job well done.
However, the business with running family members back and forth to Rome constantly, losing abilities when leaving settlements/territories...detracts from the game in my opinion, and is ant-realism. I like to play the game, not spend turn after turn moving a general all over the place because he's the one who won't lose his abilities by stepping across a colored line on the map.
Commanders don't suddenly forget how to lead and command just because they cross a line. The concept is not based in realism.
An army commanded by a veteran general, and having a 5:1 advantage, should not flee like little girls after 5 seconds of engagement (if they even got that far before being too frightened to continue) with an enemy that is not even commanded by a named character.
Again, the effort and work are obvious. It just has a couple game-breakers for me, personally.
