Right this has been bugging me for several weeks, and the general internet is an angry mass of contradictions, men claiming it will cause them to grow breasts and angry feminists saying men cannot me trusted.

Why does the male contraceptive pill not exist?

I suggest that you read on Wikipedia on why female contraceptive pills work and thereby avoid all the political stuff.

What you will notice is that the pills manipulate the hormone system to a state where the egg stocks does not get any signals to make an egg available.

Sperm production is a continuos process and the several other systems are dependent on it, so shutting it down is much harder.

Contraceptive pills screw around with a woman's hormonal balance and in some cases they get pretty fat. Would you want that to happen to you ?

Honestly? i'm a miserable sarcastic git, so i could probably use a change. And no matter what i eat fat doesn't stick to me so i wouldn't be complaining

Well... there's always the possibility of suffering from a dry-orgasm or an orgasm where semen without sperm is released. The functions of orgasm and insemination are tremendously related(at least in humans) but they are also differentiated, and one can happen without the other, right (?)

Could always redevelop that temporary chemical castration drug that they use with dogs and such to be suitable for humans and last alot shorter periods

though im not sure if that particular drug kills your sex drive or not for that period of time so may be absolutely useless for a contraceptive pill if it does so.

They will come up with one, one day that targets sperm via enzyme production I would imagine but we aren't there yet. The targeting of cancers through targeting specific enzymes will have huge ancillary research benefits.
