    So I bought this instrument on some handicraft tent. The guy said it was an ocarina, I'm not really sure, I haven't found anywhere something about a ocarina shaped like that. Anyway, I like to play and if it isn't a real ocarina I would like to know what instrument it is. And if it is an ocarina I would like to know if it an 8-hole or a 6-hole.

    If not, no. That is not an ocarina.

    What you have there looks like an ocarina to me.

    From Wikipedia:

    The ocarina (/ɑːkəˈriːnə/) is an ancient flute-like wind instrument.[1] Variations do exist, but a typical ocarina is an enclosed space with four to twelve finger holes and a mouthpiece that projects from the body. It is often ceramic, but other materials may also be used, such as plastic, wood, glass, clay, and metal.

    I mean I assume it's got similar tabs as a recorder, it's probably the same principle. You could just try those tabs.

    Also I'm gonna assume it sounds terrible.

    The sound is not bad, and it costed 30 reais, which is about 17,30 dollars. The guy even made me a discount, he seemed like a nice guy. The ocarina even smelled like weed when I first played it.
