Lots of crashes during battles.

Crash during battle between Dwarves (player) and Orcs of Gundabad -- cannot get past. Are there ways to avoid this (surely known) bug?

I'm getting crashes during battles, well after they are loaded and I'm already playing them. I have not experienced before with other mods with anywhere near this frequency. It is a weekly occurrence, as opposed to perhaps a yearly occurrence with other mods I play.

It has been with several factions: Dale, High Elves, Isenguard, and most recently the Dwarves -- yes I have 3.1. This crash during an attack by Gundabad, crashes every time I try to fight through it. I have gotten past these time after time by either:

- going back to a previous save and changing the circumstances or
- auto resolving.

Autoresolve is not an option here, it will result in a game killing defeat and i'd rather not go back to a former save here.



If someone can explain where to find the save game files and how to upload them, I can try that. (there is no guide for such in the main sticky, and I also searched the general forum).

117 views and growing and no response.... impressive.


Still getting WAY too many crashes in battles to continue to consider this a top tier mod in my collection, regardless of how impressive much of it is. Anyone know how to attach save files or trouble shoot these crashes?

I have completed 5 campaigns of well over 200 turns each and have not had one singe CTD. I fight almost all of my battles myself and very seldom autoresolve.
I am playing v3.1 with only one sub-mod; the expanded map mod.
To attach a save game to your post go to the C:\Program Files (x86)\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\Third_Age_3\saves folder, compress the desired save game with the app of your choice and then select the attachements icon in the advanced post editing box.
My computers are getting kind of old, but they were good quality gaming computers when I acquired them; one is a Falcon Northwest Mach V and the other is a Dell XPS M1730 laptop.
