Famed Characters

I have noticed recently that Kleomenes of Sparta, my faction leader, has by the age of 68, acquired real famous characters from History Heironymous and others. How does the character gain these followers and who have other people had follow their characters.


EDIT: As an added note... what's the worst general that anybody has ever had? I had somebody as the Western Roman Empire with -13 to troop morale!!!

You can get them randomly, but the chance your character will acquire a famous character when he's in Sarmatia is very small. Building an academy will increase the chance: sending your character to the city with the academy for about two years can do more for his traits/retinue than two years in the field. My faction leader spend about four years in Rome, acquiring about a dozen retinues (I gave the useless retinue like 'Family Retainer' to less important family members), among them very valuable ones like Archimedes and Strato.

OK, that raises 2 questions

1) what file determines who he gets.
2) How do you offload a retinue to somebody else?

1) Export_descr_ancilliaries.txt defines what anicilliaries there and and the triggers that determine when a character gets a certain ancilliary.

2). Have 2 characters in a stack, drag the ancilliary from one character to another.
