units in march

can someone tell me how to make the units stop changing from a line formation to a column when you give them a march order over a greater distance? i want then to stick to the line formation. i'm talking about individual units (ex:dismounted_feudal_knights) not whole armies

Are columns faster? I never experimented with them.

no i don't think so. it's just a try from CA to add more realism to the battle because troops used to march in columns in reality because aline although more effective in battle is hard to maintain while moving through terain. but this is a game and i don't see this feature to be relevant and want to remove it. i want the troops to move in lines not columns.
