Help for a Napoleon Noob

So, i recently got Napoleon, and i must say, it is very good but hell of a lot different than Shogun strategy wise. I do fine in shogun with about 60% win rate, but in Napoleon, my win rate is about, meh, 10%, maybe 20%. I have no idea what a good army build is. I have no idea what a good ratio of very good units to not as good units is, and ratio of cavalry to infantry, to artilary. My tactics in shogun are obsolete here, and whatever i try is null. Some basic strategies and tactics would be much appreciated and, along with any advice on army builds. Thank you for your time.

also I like all TW games and play both shogun and NTW all the time. so i think i'm not too biased - and NTW is more precise and tactical in unit movement so it can take a while to get it right. but lots of pracitce against good clans and players and saving and watching your replays will help.

heres a NTW playlist from youtube i would start by looking at the newer vids at the bottom of the list but there loads of good players featured so should help a bit. im afraid i mainly upload Shogun 2 vids now so not much new entering the channel for NTW on the next few weeks but the old ones are very good battles.

risquard and jmartins channels are the best for ntw vids. highly recommend them...oh and terminators aswell..

The sarcasm is great from what i have seen of aggony its a great clan well organised with a huge amount of talent in all TW games - but i love u too

I get all light cav instead of any heavy cavalry. The light cav can launch lightning attacks while the heavy cav is slow and expensive.

heres another good vid of a 2v2 between HMG and ESPADAS. very hard fought battle where both sides attacked each other very aggressively. no quarter was expected or given. gg to ESPADAS...

Play as Spain and use to guerillas to wipe out enemy artillery. This catches people out all the time, even relatively experienced players.
