    I agree with everything you said but right now i don't encourage anyone to use Baron submod until the AI CTD issues are resolved. I could never finish campaign with the submod installed.

    A tweaked vanilla version to your liking is the best bet right now. (Finally made it to turn 200 in a campaign without ctd)
