    Default Providing PFM column names

    Hi all,
if you're working with the PFM and find out what a column is for, you can help others by sharing this information. However, please don't just post saying "column X should be called Y".

The intended way to do this is:
    - as you find out what a column is for, right-click the column in the editor and give it a meaningful name
    - in your PFM installation directory, find the schema_user.xml file and zip it (it will contain the column name you gave them)
    - upload the zip here or in the PFM thread
    - I'll then put up an update containing them into the PFM thread so everybody can get them.

This way I don't have to edit the files manually, so it's easier for me and less error-prone.

I started entering unknown column names, although I've come across a bit of an issue:

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

I can enter the names, but I can't save; when I close and re-open the pack, the definitions are gone (seems logical, what with the can't save thing).

You need to upgrade to 2.0.6, this feature was deactivated until I was reasonably certain it still worked.

I have a few I will upload later after work.

    Edit:

    Using PFM v1.1.1
Some times I cant DB Descriptions -> Save to directory to update the user schema file. Not sure what causes it exactly yet but it can be solved by exiting the PFM and reopening it. You do lose whatever changes you made since the last save you made.

Have attached my user .schema. Nothing major or new discoverys, just a couple of column that are already known about and a couple of others I changed to make it easier for me to navigate about (get rid of a few unknowns near where i frequent)

    CHANGES

    buildings_unit_allowed
-5th column, between 'Unknown' and 'Unknown6'
    Unique ID

    cdir_unit_qualities
    -1st column
Clan/Group (for all of japan use default. hattori seems to use uesgi)

    -2nd column
    Unit Type

    -3rd column
    Unit ID

    uniforms
    -last column
    Uniform Soldier Group

    unit_land_stats
-column between Warscape Equipment Theme ID Ref
    Armor

    -column between'Gun IDRef' and 'Accuracy'
    Missile Weapon Type

    units
-column between 'unknown 26' and 'unknown 28'
    Units Soldier group

    units to exclusive factions
    -3rd column
    Can Recruit

Hello daniu, i think you have mistakenly label Hull_Strength to the wrong column in "unit_stats_naval." I try to change this but after i change the column name it tells me to update the DB direction to save the change, and i cannot figure out how to save it, the "save to directory" button is gray out and i'm using PFM2.1.2. I believe the hull strength is 5 column to the right of "Hull_Strength_Shown" column. Between the column that has the value of "high", "medium", "low" and "steam.propellor.hull____"

My above post has the work around for that problem. Just close the PFM and open it again, then away you go saving things all over the show.

Ahh i see. Thanks got it working. After testing out some value for this column, i see that it changes the value shown in the ship's unit's description for hull strength.

havent bothered to check any others but the

    unit_land_stats
-column between Warscape Equipment Theme ID Ref
    Armor

update i gave you is not in the schema 15.zip, nor does the PFM update add the value.

Hmmm, no can't find that update in your file either tbh.
Even if you mean "behind" Warscape Equipment Theme IDRef, the file you uploaded contains "unknown13" there.

God Subversion is such a crappy version control system, I keep losing stuff because of its weird concept I can't seem to get a hold on.
Looks like it only took one of your changes for some reason, I'll try again tonight.

I believe this is maneuverability for ships. Low = 1 (in the unit description when you hover over your ship's card in game) Medium = 2 and High = 3. I am not sure if it can go any higher.

This was "unkown 98" in the unit_stats_naval

There are whole lot of "unknown" Selection Sound columns near the end of the unit files that should be pretty obvious when you're looking for them. For some reason my PFM wouldn't export so I must apologize for no schema.

There are a bunch of columns that I re-labeled from "unknown," but I completely forgot to keep track of which ones I've re-labeled .______.

You don't need to keep track, I'll see it when integrating.
    Just upload the schema.
