On the fence about downloading this mod

Ive heard some great things about this mod and it always seems to be recommended on many forums when people are asking for mod recommendations for MTW. However just wanted to know a few things before I downloaded.

1.I know there are lots of unique battlegrounds and settlements in the game taken straight from the lore...however do all the less well known places in the LOTR universe get the same treatment or are they just generic vanilla MTW2 settlements?

2.Can the unit sizes in this mod be changed and if so how? Ive seen in lots of video's and screenshots that the unit numbers seem the same as the vanilla game. I dont think this does justice to the game and since I have a good rig id kinda like to ratch them up a bit.

3.When you have this installed can you still play vanilla MTW2?

4.Are there "historic battles" already programmed into the mod so I can play all my favourite LOTR battles?

1: Not yet, but in later releases all settlements will probably be new and exiting

2: Just like in vanilla M2TW, you can always change unit sizes

3: Yes

4: There are some historical battles, but some are out of date. There is a submod that adds Minas Tirith and Hornburg tho, so you'd be just fine

Oh thanks for welcoming me and answering so fast.

Guess ill download the mod then. Although sadly I have to wait until I finish downloading MTW2 and Kingdoms from steam which is a bit of a pain.

Welcome to the greatest mod on that ever was! I hope you have called your loved ones and told them you're not going to be around for a while. I envy your Third Age virginity man . I suggest you play it on Medium/Medium untill you get the hang of things. Or you will probably be overrun quite quickly even as a Vanilla veteran.
