MSN Proxy errors

Okay, i just installed a new Netcard in my brothers machine. Everything works great but anything to do with msn/hotmail. It seems to say i have proxy errors and i have Key Ports that are not working. Seems odd because I have done everything right and it just keeps saying it. Anyone have any idea as how to fix this sorta problem?

do you have a proxy up, or is it a direct connection?

I run DSL through a Router. See the thing is, it worked fine before like I stated. Since the new Ethernet card was installed his msn no work. Anything else that needs the net works fine just not msn/hotmail.

Try directly connecting to the modem. I bet the router is causing problems... Atleast is was for me:

Yes but that would make it a short term fix then. I need long term because I have 3 rigs all on the net. His is the only one that is not working right.
