Didn't Saruman say orcs are a corrupted version of the elves? And when we see that Uruk coming out of the "cocoon" full grown and rdy to fight, he clearly was not the only one to be borned this way. It's only an Huruk thing? What about Trolls and Ents? I heard Ents females cannot be found anywhere :p

Orcs being corrupted elves is just a theory, not a fact. No one knows the true orgin of the orcs for sure.

Can't remember where, but once I read that orcs where originally made my Melkor, in his envy to create a lifeform rival to Ëru's one, in an Adam and Eve manner; from dust (dirty clay, more likely) and the "breath of life" (soul/fëa - to an extent) came through dark sorcery, since Melkor didn't possess the "Flame of Life" which only Ëru has. So these creatures where born from pure evil and with corrupted and twisted minds.
And then, before getting his ass kicked, Melkor teached this technique to Sauron (which in turn passed it to Saruman)

Since for the little I know Tolkien didn't have a satisfatory explanation for this, I like to think that the method above is the one used for orc creation. But further, I also like to think that the "dark sorcery" must use souls to fuel the creation process; souls, tortured, empty, then filled with anger, hate, fear, etc...

So the resulting soul would produce the respective orc; like a coward human tortured would feel fear, and his soul should be able to produce some few snagas. A brave elven warrior tortured would feel anger, resulting in a feral uruk, or a handfull of orcs or a lot of snagas, got it? All depending of the pureness of the soul, the amount of suffering inflicted/endured, the heart's deepest desires, frustations and so on.

Makes both theory convincent and the legend darker and interesting IMHO

Perhaps orcs are humans from the future and come from outer space, landing on the plantations of Rohan and Gondor, and are trying to save the future of menkind knocking their dictators, corrupt governments and preventing a non-sustainable spread, making the world a better place for our children in few decades.
