Background script

So I dont think my background script is working....

I click on show me how when prompted, yet I dont get the 1 gold you're supposed to when activating the script.

I've installed it following the guides on how to install to steam, and I've actually played for about an hour successfully with no crashes, just without the script (I THINK) .

So A. How do I know the script is working, and B. How do I activate it, when it's not working using the advisor and show me how?

Open the console (^) after activating it via the advisor and press CURSOR_UP, if it says something about season:.... the script is running

Just to satisfy my paranoia.... what are some signs that the script IS NOT working?

The first one is no 4tpy, then governments aren't damaged to 100% after conquering a town, many factions will become bankrupt from turn1,...
