Crash on when loading game

I am at a loss. My games crashes everytime it tried to start a campaign (Imperail or Prologue) I have a steam version of the game and have verified the integrity of the game and have re-installed twice. I have played this game for years without problems. I have no idea how to fix this...anyone else having any recent issues??

BTW...this only happens with the campaign...I can run all custom/historic battles.

I know you have reinstalled but have you changed or added anything to the game afterwards?

Not a thing...just trying to play a regular vanalla game

i'm at the point where i am gong to remvoe steam all together and start over.

Well I tried the aboce with still no luck...funny thing is...it is only happening for Rome...If I start up BI it starts without any problems...anyone got any ideas?

The only idea I have is to delete the game again, and before reinstalling go into the rome total war directory and make sure there is nothing at all there and if there is delete it, after that reinstall and if it still doesn't work I would contact steam support. Ask if you need help finding the steam directory.

Edit: If someone else posts that has the link it might be worth him doing the Manual Uninstall but I don't have the link and have to go to bed so I don't have to to search ATM.
