    is it possible to make it that the "Sack" option actually only sacks the settlement ?

    what i mean is that, once sacked then it should return to its former owner,
    -clear of garisson-units of course
    -maybe some damaged buildings and decreased population

    so noone has even came close to something like that, through some fancy scripting ?

    There is a console command for capture_settlement but nothing to give settlement. Otherwise after an event monitor for sack we could've fired that command or something to that effect.
