We are working under the project called "Ancient Total War", it's gonna contain the whole world of 3 century B.C to fifth century A.D.

We are currently working on a climate map, if someone wants to help us somehow, write your suggestions and proposals...
Here is our logo:
This is the world map we are going to use to create the main game

This looks like it could be really cool. I've always wanted to conquer China with the Persian Empire. But it be better if places like Greenland were less distorted in size.
And where's Antarctica? just kidding...
This is ours banner
Our plan is to create a mod of ancient world.on topic, btw, world map THAT BIG? heck... greenland? america? siberia? for wat?
Imagine an ancient world in wich you can play for a less-developed civilizations like American tribes, or where you can play for a mighty Roman empire, to conquer an Olmecs!
Haha well i can't say i don't like the idea, it reminds me of the concept of Rise of Nations; the problem is that unlike RoN, RTW has limits in the number of regions. RoN maps were limited in size too but the number of regions weren't, allowing all sorts of ideas to be implemented "without" problem, and off course the strat map was a "prelude" of a battle in a very AoE style, various settlements/cities in the same region, that could easily give a chance for 1,000,000 cities in a single campaign. In RtW is 1 city=1 region, so you could end up having the whole of Italy "dependent" of Rome, maybe 2-3 cities for France or even China, etc, thus the balance might be a problem.
Remember also the limit regarding number of factions, for a "balanced" game you could end up having 4-5 factions in each continent? :S
Off course, those are just my toughts, i'm not trying to discourage you from making your mod, just keep in mind any or every one of the things that i said.
BTW, as a suggestion why don't stick only to one hemisphere?
We are not going to change the amount of fractions and cities in Europe, except of Roman Empire which would be solid. About hemispheres, well you know its personal, it's going to be the whole world, so we need both of them...
P.S Is there any limit of cities in RTW?
I meant is there any limit of fractions in RTW.
Yep, 20 factions max! You know, you should really try to cover all the parts of modding before jumping in creating a mod, like the basics of coding and scripting and the known hardcoded limits.
RTWRM - back to basics
One more question, does barbarian invasion has larger faction limit?
