How do I download this mod and play it?

I have spent a day looking through this forum and there are tons of dead links and old information from 2008 that no longer applies. So simply put, how can I get this mod? I'm sure there's just a single link or something.

Just want a bigger map and all the extra units/buildings/everything. Thank you all in advance.

First, how do I edit my posts? I ask because I would rather do that then this doublepost (sorry).

Second, is this the info for downloading this mod?

I'm unable to install the patches, they are WinRar.... so how do I install them for free?

You cannot edit posts until you have at least 25 posts.
Those are the correct files to download if you want to get to v4.2 level.
WinRAR is a free download.

It is these type of posts that are completely stupid and make people not want to help you. The leaders of this mod/forum did a great job creating the mod, and are constantly answering people's questions. If you have a little patience they can probably get the mod working for you. Hundreds of people play this mod without crashes, so your statement, " I made no mistakes" can't be true.

Once I found the instructions on my own, I followed them. I downloaded the mod, then the patches.

The game crashes before the campaign map. During the campaign map it crashes. Inbetween load pages the mod crashes. The custom battles have crashes.

The mod is not as good as many others on here. I do enjoy many other mods from the TWC community.

2)I don't know why the mod isn't working for you then.

I apologize if I overreacted, but I hate to see people's hard work criticized. As I originally said, if your patient and give the leaders more info on what you did, or didn't do, I'm sure they can help you get this mod working.

The mod is fantastic. I had trouble at the start EXACTLY the same problems even, but try this. Instead of installing it to the default "program files", change it to install into "program files (x86)". Every time i have changed it, the mod and the patches have worked, give it a go. Also, did you add the main menu crash fix file?

How does one completely uninstall this mod and all the files incorporated? Also, I'm asking for other mods I have too.
I haven't done it yet because I didn't want to possibly get rid of some CA stuff.

go to the mods folder and delete the folder. If you have vista or 7 then you will need to delete it in the virtual store too.

As one with over 45 years of marriage to the same wife, I beg all of you to be very careful with your tongue, especially to your wives. If you said something similar to your wife she will invariably interpret as you calling her stupid. You can play back a recording of it and explain it with impeccable logic until hell freezes over and you will never persuade her. You will only dig yourself a deeper pit. You can be right or you can be contentedly married. You choose. BTW I have had many troubles installing this mod and messing with it and Windows 7, but it is worth the trouble and I thank you for not calling me stupid ever, although you all have had sufficient reason to do so.
