My old HS track and field team was favored to win regionals today. Well, I went to watch them, and they (through some unfortunate events, both seen and unforeseen) ended up getting 2nd place....losing by 9 points. Gosh darn. I've been off the team for two years but I still feel so fricken gutted.

Today in the morning, I was eating my breakfast whilst innocently visiting facebook and TWC on my laptop. The only other person in the room was my mother who was watching "Loose Women", the British version of the View in America: essentially a show in which third-wave feminists talk about mum stuff for an hour.

Anywho, the show comes back from an ad-break and the host looks up at the camera to introduce the next topic of conversation. She looks dead-straight at the camera, straight into my mum's eyes, and asks her:
"Is your son addicted to internet porn?"

The next 15 minutes of the programme was dedicated to how pornography creates "negative perceptions" of women and how porn-viewers are 99.9% likely to become sexists and rapists and 203.174% of all teenagers view porn at least twice every time they use their computers.

Now of course I watch porn, my mother was probably fairly sure of it too (she's never walked in on me or anything like that), but I'm not addicted (is that even possible?) , it just doesn't have to be brought up, and it was the single most awkward moment of my life, and I couldn't put the laptop away or else that's like admitting it and she couldn't change it because that's like admitting that she knows, so we just bore through it.

Not a word has been said since.

If i want to be a bit pessimistic...

I went in to go for the learners drivers licence. It was a computerised theory test and eye test.
It cost me $90.00. When i was waiting, i was reading this flyer on the stages of licence. Restricted - $140.00. Full - $130.00
me, i'm staying on my learners for the rest of my life, those big yellow nad back Ls are no deterrent!
The sad thing was when Mum told me here test only cost $30.00 back in the days

I dide pass though.
