Got my daughter 10 days ago. All are fine and well, the lack of sleep is bearable. Another good thing is the fact, that I don't have to work for the next three months.... Benefits of living in a civilized Country with functional social system ;-)

Yesterday I enhanced a friend's earthquake engineering code such that everytime she runs it without muting her speakers it plays a train sound *Choo chooo chuckachucka chuckachucka*. I'm convinced that she's not going figure out how to remove it and very much entertained of her having to suffer this for weeks.

I actually got the idea from when I put a sound in my own code because I had written some stuff that took hours (!) to compute, so I'd know when to come back. The hype was real every time I heard that sound, until I managed to improve the code such that that part suddenly only took about a second.
