How do I avoid this mods virus?

Hello there,

About two weeks ago I download AnastasioTheGreat's Spartan mod Version 1.2. A little after downloading it, I found out it was attached with a Trojan which had already been installed inside my computer. I was too late.

I ended up restoring my computer and re installing all of my lost files (which was a pain in the neck) and I really want to try this mod without going through this virus.

Is there any link,download, or website I can go to so I don't have to get this virus due to the fact I really want this mod?

First of all it's a shame that there appears to be a Trojan and it's affected your PC in such a way.

The comments did say that there was a Trojan attached - and it was confirmed by a second person back in 2009(?).

Anyway, I've reported the post in hope that a moderator may remove the mod if it does contain a Trojan.

In the meantime I'd suggest reading comments and also installing some anti-virus software which should be able to trap the tojan for you and prevent further problems.

It's an .exe file, so there is no way to kill the virus, the download has to go. I have disabled the download link in the meantime, we don't want such crap here.
