    Icon3 A question or two

    1. how on earth do i remove weather and effects from the game? im fed up of fighting a day battle then ending up not being able to see anything thanks to sunset.. this seems specific to COW i dont get this in TATW and i played it for years.

    2. how do i remove the -10 trait for vampire generals fighting in the day? i hate night battles, i cant see my units.

    3. how do i add free upkeep to all units ala TATW?

    this all is for COW only and that why i ask it here

    1. Not sure actually..

    2. Press wait before deployment, it will be morning, I don't think this will affect the commandstars. I always do this, just rarelly I wanna have dark fight for a change

    3. If I remember right, you need to give free up keep to units in EDU. I too was like wtf when I started playing CoW, and no free upkeep for all units. Now I think it's better this way, way more balanced, since you can have very devastating troops in CoW, and stacking them to settlements really breaks the balance and challenge.

    I used to have this not-seeing-anything-at-night problem. Then I got a new monitor and the problem was solved, I was able to see fine in both day and night battles.

    It's definitely a weird CoW issue though. I never was able to solve it either, sorry.

    thank for your replys, i didnt know that about point 2, that you could wait and it would become morning i always assumed it would always stay night when you waited. and yes its very annoying night battles especially when your skeletons have virtually no bodies to see, they look amazing in the daylight though.

    and fair enough ill stick wth the upkeep thing for now, i played this mod years back and now i think of it being able to stack a city with averland heavy halberds or mages wouldnt be too good for balance.


    and yes the weather is a joke in COW quite a lot ouside of empire territory, i mean i know TATW has its moments with snow but its nowhere near as prevalent as this. no poit telling the modders though, the ego for this mod team is huge. though is there is a fix would be appreciated.

    Agree and try copy/pasting the 'weather_db' file from TATW to the CoW data folder. Backup the original first, I have not tested it. Let us know if it improves it. I don't like heavy weather either, that includes the awful foggy battlefields which are almost as bad as a dark night.

    I think it is kind of cool but do not understand why there are even torches in the game when at times like those the torches aren't working, than later in a daytime battle the torches are being used.

    About not seeing at night, could you not just increase the game brightness/gamma? I
    believe there was a video option for that, sort of ruins the Vampire perception of thriving
    at night & suffering in day to get rid of the modifier entirely..

    and no changing brightness does not help.

    EDIT: think i might have it, looking in the .rar of the TK submod they seem to have replaced the timurids, though what exactly they were in the first place i have no idea, now i got to figure out how to give them owner ship of the border princes(i decided on that route) and get them on the map also using THIS http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=346427 tutorial in particular seems useful, but what faction the border princes are i have no idea how to tell

    We are re-releasing Tomb Kings for 1.5, reworked skins and models etc for some units. Not sure yet if they will be added for campaign in 1.5, I was aiming for 2.0 which extends the map to south, and has some radical changes in the mod. Tought since 2.0 has no release date yet, it's hard to deside to if it is time worthy to do it for 1.5, since most work would propably needed to be re-done..

    It would eliminate a lot of problems causing by the culture limitations, I asked him to do version for CoW too, he did agree, but I'm not sure when/if it will be done.

    If you replace faction with TK, remember to go thru all files like scripts (spawning armies and stuff), and buildings (recruitments), etc. I would recommend making it new faction and giving it one settlement, "horde" faction is good option too, much more less things to edit.

    id rather not wait, and i dont even have 1.5, and wont until its been spiced up by gig and has submods compatible. therefore getting your awesome mod on the campaign map even minus all the flavours such as custom UI etc etc. i just want them on the map in a single settlement ready to sweep the world.

    i shall take this on board, its certainly a lot of work, and not easy. its amazing how major mods like cow tatw ss and others have done so much.
