    I was thinking, imagine a total war mod that took the micro-management from paradox interactive's "pride of nations" and the gameplay from Napoleon (or Empire) Total War.

    For those who don't know what pride of nations is, check out this video

    I think that the graphics in PoN are kinda wonky, and after some time playing the game, it gets visually boring, the only interesting part is what's happening underneath all that sheep dung, that the graphic team from Paradox Interactive managed to pull off. It could use some improvement, that comes from total war, with it's campaign map and arcade battles.

    So.

    Main question is: is it possible to take the micro-management from PoN, add it to NTW and make a even greater game, or it will just make the whole damn thing work really slow, or not work at all?

    I haven't played Pride of Nations but have played American Civil War (another game by Ageod). That game as it exists is fairly complex, and if you didn't simplify it and simply added the real-time battles of TW, the gameplay would be painfully slow.

    I think TW has the right balance. I would like to see logistics (supply), modelled in a bit more detail though. They're on the right track with the replenisment system in NTW.

    The replenishment system just has one drawback when using extensive AOR mechanism.
    Like in MoE, we have AOR to recruit specific units for each region (ex: France region gives 2 grenadiers, Bretagne 1, Normandie 1, etc).
    But because of the replenishment, a unti recruit in Normandie cannot replenish fast in Bretagne

    True.

    I also noticed another problem ... its often faster to just build a new unit than to wait for it to be replenished. For example line infantry takes two turns to recruit, but a heavily chewed up line infantry (lets say about 10-20 men left), will take at least 3 turns to replenish. At least in a region without replenishment bonuses.
