    Default EDA: is "Unique" really unique?

    The question is: Does the entry "Unique" in the EDA mean that an ancillary can only be acquired once, or can i still be acquired, if the ancillary is lost, when the character dies?
    I ask because I'm working on an EDA with many artifacts that should be unique, but I want it to be possible that a character can get the ancillary again, if the ol wielder dies.

    thanks in advance

    I think its only one character at a time can have the ancillary and then when the character dies it can be re-aquired.

    That would be good. Can someone confirm this?

    Do you mean the category entry "unique"?
    That could as well say single or solemly or whatever, it won't affect the number of appearances of the anc.
    If you want to have a unique anc, you've to define a suitable trigger to make sure it does not spread.

    No, not the category entry. There is an optional entry after the entry for the picture, which makes an ancillary unique. But I want to be sure if it becomes truly unique(only acquireable once), or if there can only be one ancillary of that type at one time.
    It is used in vanilla for characters as William Wallace or Gerard de Ridefort.

    They have a time limit attached to them, they are only available for a certain amount of turns, during a period of turns, its attached to their trigger in the EDA.

    Code:
    ;------------------------------------------
    Trigger gerard_de_ridefort
        WhenToTest GeneralJoinCrusade
        Condition IsCrusade
              and CharacterReligion catholic
              and not FactionType hre
              and not FactionType spain
              and not FactionType portugal
              and I_TurnNumber >= 30
              and I_TurnNumber <= 52
        AcquireAncillary gerard_de_ridefort chance  100

    Hm, never came across that one then.
    Always used "and not I_WorldWideAncillaryExists" as condition or the such, have no game installed and nothing of the modding material on my laptop to make sure, whether that was the condition or not o_O
