Default Windows setup freezes on "restarting computer"

After the text mode beginning of the windows setup finshes it says "restarting computer" on the lower left. When it does this the computer freezes. Its a new pc that we built.

    AMD 4400+ X2
2GB of ram - 2 sticks in dual channel
    2x 36GB 10k SATA Drives in Raid-0
    Asus a8n32-sli deluxe motherboard
    2x 7900 GT video cards

I've never seen this type of thing happen before, the comptuer isn't overheating and the whole of setup runs perfectly up to that point.

I'd say it is the Raid driver(s) for the motherboard, it was a real hassle for me to set up RAID (I gave up actually) on the SLI-Deluxe, but as far as I remember you needed a floppy disk with the drivers on it, try the Asus website.

9 out of 10 times when there is a startup freezing issue or Windows refuses to boot properly, its a hardware/configuration problem. Try getting a diagnostic from the website of your HDD manufacturer and start with it.Usually boot problems on new systems originate from issues with HDD configuration.
