    Default Help with Eriador

    Hey guys,

    I'm doing a little modding of my own, simply for my own personal entertainment, but I seem to have run across a stumbling block. I'm not quite sure at this point. Maybe it was something I did, maybe its part of the game, but from turn 1 to at least 25 the Free Peoples can't recruit anything, besides spies, diplomats and assassins. I'm wondering if there is an event that I've missed (I only played Eriador through turn 25) or if I screwed something up. I need some clarification. The only files I've edited thus far are descr_strat, export_descr_units and export_descr_buildings. Help!

    Sounds like you messed something up you should at the very least be able to recruit militia.

    So you've edited exactly those files that are concerned with units and recruitment and wonder how that could have affected recruitment...
    Without knowing what you edited it's impossible to know what went wrong.
    Anyway, look at the Stables, barracks, etc in export_descr_buildings. Make sure the units can be recruited (recruitment slots, growth rate, availability, etc) and check if culture requirements and faction are correct.
