    Some news:
-beginning from this week, previews will slow down a lot...study for exams calls
-thanks to auc162, creator of "A Song of Ice and Fire Total War" http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=522749 , I'll introduce a great feature about AoR recruitment (or at least, I hope to add it): there are about 60 cities that, in the time-frame of CeA, were communes, in them there will be recruitable some communal soldiers (maybe only palvesarii, it depends on edb space) which will carry banners of that Commune.
-related to the one below, the most interesting idea I've had at the moment I think: I wanna introduce a script, inspired to EB work, that will allow the player to decide which type of government we want for some settlements:
    a) free Commune: we can recruit communal soldiers, no tax bonus.
    b) direct rule (I'm not sure if it's the best translation): we can recruit faction soldiers as always, medium tax bonus.
    c) feud (not available for communal factions): we can recruit nobles, heavy troops and levy troops (as peasants), higher tax bonus.
If it will be possible, I also want that in Free Commune governmente, a settlement doesn't need a governor, the opposite of the fued, for which a governor will be indispensable or you can't recruit nor build.
Of course this is only an outline.
-I've began work on faction skins; here's milites of Commune of Genoa

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

The heraldry on soldiers shields are from D'Oria, Spinola, Staglieno, Pallavicino, Cybo, Adorno, Delle Piane, Giustiniani, Cattaneo families, and the St. George Cross; other symbols are the griffon and St. George killing the dragon

Love the government type idea. Perhaps have upgrades for them giving better bonuses each level. To add to this you could add 2 trait systems, ethnicity and which government type the character prefers. German characters will obviously be more prone to feudal and Italian to free communes but also direct rule(or oligarchy), such as Milan and the other cities ruled by the nobility. So if a feudal character is governing a commune there will be penalties but bonuses if he prefers communes.

Hi there! Sorry for the lack of updates during this month, but I'm really busy with study and also I'm offering my help to Bellum Crucis, in which I'll re-model strat city models (something I'll do also for CeA obviously!).
From the end of this month I'll be maybe less busy I hope, so I'll have time to work at least to some unit and/or settlement strat models.

I love how this mod looks. It reminds me RTW, and Broken crescent all in one awesome mod. Good work.

    Hi Zames!

This mod looks very good. I really wish you'll complete it one day! Please receive these humble gifts (inspired by your current logo) as a token of my appreciation:

You can use these if you want (and I'd be honoured if you added the signatures or at least either of them to the OP). The logo .psd file is attached below just in case you want to have a closer look at it.

I may improve them later, but anyways, there they are.

I think you could add those hyperlinks to the sigs in advance because some people can't make them anyways. Or at least you could use the [noparse] tag to remove the spaces from the example without the link getting activated.

I wish you best of luck with this project!

Thank you Goofy! and +rep for this work, I'll use one of them as CeA logo (possibly also for a splash screen), I really love them!

I'll also correct links to signatures in OP asap, thanks for the hint

Will this be playable on both the non-kingdoms version of M2TW and Kingdoms?

Here I am, sir - thank you.

I have been reworking the logo I made. I wasn't quite happy with the plainness of it, so I decided to make a more stylish one that could catch people's eyes better. Here it is:

Now please don't tell me you like the first logo better - it took quite some time to make this one. I can remove the blood splatter if you want (that'll be easy) but I think it's a lot better this way. Also if you'd like to get the old colour back I can try it but the structure of this logo is a little different so that may not be easy.

PS. I can probably make the splash screen and/or main menu (that is the fun part of UI modding) for you if you have a few nice pictures and want a helping hand for that (and naturally if you don't have a better artist in mind)- I'm in your service.

PS2. Again, the logo PSD file is attached to this post.

    Regards,

O_O beautiful!! Really, that's really beautiful but bloody enough, it perfectly fit with the sense of warfare and violence of CeA ages! I'll give you +rep when I'll be able to.

About an helping hand, well you're surely welcome! Also because the only 2D artist I had in mind was me
You're really welcome, but up to now I don't have too much time to make a coordinated work with you (busy with exams...damned ancient aegean civilizations!!), when I'll have time we can start working together
In the meanwhile, I can try to look for some image for you, do you prefere medieval ones (such as the one I used as background for my faction symbols preview in OP) or modern ones (similar to ones of Osprey series)?

Some high-quality medieval manuscript may work, but I think we should use something more impressive. Keep in mind that the picture will have to be larger than 1024 x 768 (well, at least it has to be 1024 or more pixels wide). Anyways, it's your mod so I'll just do the best I can.

And oh, I made still an improved version of the logo - a lot of thanks to cedric37 for helping me out with it a little. Now go and shower him with rep just because he's ace!

Here's the new(est) and probably the final version of the logo:

I basically just sharpened the image and added some dirt to the letters.

And here are the signatures as always:

just take care to not get 15 "fleurdelysed" knights...please. Keep it for the King/Roy, others lords had the Must to broke the "sowing of lys"(semis de lys), with strips, bands...etc

    great work otherwise
