AM2 Chips/Boards now shipping
Supply seems to be limited, but they're on the market - at least here in Canada. I can assume the US hsould have them as well. Not much selection though (I've seem some Sempron-versions available, but most chips are back-ordered), and AMD seems to reporting only small (1%!!!) gains over S939 to this point. I am sure this is temporary as there will be a new line of dual-core ships available later this year (and possibley quad-core as well!).
Is anyone going to be taking the plunge into the new socket type?

I think its a little too early to go AM2 yet, like you said the performance increase is too small. Maby when DDR2 800-1000 becomes cheaper we can see some nice improvements.
