Default Judge from Georgia orders Obama to court to defend Citizenship

    http://www.addictinginfo.org/2012/01...d-citizenship/

And the birthers just refuse to go away. Ever since President Obama embarrassed the hell out of birther king Donald Trump by releasing his long form birth certificate, birthers have been desperate to keep their claims alive and have filed lawsuits across the country to have the President removed from the ballot in 2012. All of these filings have failed, that is until now.

A judge in Atlanta, Georgia has ordered President Obama to show up at a hearing concerning a complaint filed by a citizen of the state who contends that Mr. Obama is not a natural-born citizen and therefore should be removed from the ballot in the Georgia Presidential primary.

On Friday, Deputy Chief Judge Michael Malihi denied a motion for dismissal of a subpoena that requires the President to attend. The hearing is set for Thursday.

This is clearly a frivolous lawsuit brought by a racist fool who happened to find an equally racist judge. The President was born in Hawaii and he has released his short form and long from birth certificates. President Obama has better things to do than appear before a hack judge in the hack state of Georgia, like finding and killing terrorists and fixing the economy. That being said, President Obama should appear, bring his birth certificates and any other documentation he can find, win the case, and then sue the person who filed this lawsuit. This racist hick should be forced to pay all the legal fees, attorney’s fees, and should be forced to repay the taxpayers all the money it takes for the President to fly on Air Force One with a security detail to Georgia, not to mention all of the security precautions necessary to protect the President en route to the courthouse and inside the courtroom. That’s going to cost a LOT. And if this moron refuses to pay up, the IRS should garnish his wages and seize his belongings, property, etc. That’s the only way to deter other racist birthers from continuing to file lawsuits. More on this story as it develops.
What a joke... I am going to follow this but I can prob assume what is likely to happen. Obamas lawyers will appeal it and another judge will not order Obama to court.

Even if he wasn't born in the US, wouldn't he still be a citizen since one of his parents was an American?

Why is it that Obama is always being called either a foreigner or a socialist? It seems that people have few good arguments as to why he's a bad leader (and no, I don't support him). And the judge is incompetent.

It is hard to argue with facts, against a guy that shelved much of his liberal agenda to go full on centrist, along with obvious and numerous attempts to appease those on the right in a highly fractured political environment.

Historic election, a GOP that was in a state of disillusionment and in need of total, fundamental reform (still is, obviously) - and they chose to paint themselves into a corner by going obstructionist, to the extreme. This was directly from Mitch Mcconnell, just days after the inauguration.

Put simply; conservatives should have very little to complain about.

The Obama memos are out, and a 11,000-word essay has been written on its contents, read for yourselves:

    http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2...urrentPage=all

Three years ago, when Obama explained to George Will and his guests his theory of a centrist Washington, he had some reason to believe it. After all, the pillars of his agenda seemed to enjoy bipartisan support. To some extent, his health-care plan had been designed and employed by a Republican governor, Mitt Romney, of Massachusetts. His policy for addressing climate change, known as “cap and trade,” had its roots in the first Bush White House. The Troubled Asset Relief Program, a bipartisan policy to rescue failing banks, was designed by the second Bush Administration. As for the economy, conservative and liberal economists agreed that fiscal stimulus was the necessary response to a recession; the only question was how much stimulus. Politics in America, Obama confidently told people in Washington just before taking office, is played “between the forty-yard lines.”

Obama’s homily about conciliation reflected an essential component of his temperament and his view of politics. In his mid-twenties, he won the presidency of the Harvard Law Review because he was the only candidate who was trusted by both the conservative and the liberal blocs on the editorial staff. As a state senator in Springfield, when Obama represented Hyde Park-Kenwood, one of the most liberal districts in Illinois, he kept his distance from the most left-wing senators from Chicago and socialized over games of poker and golf with moderate downstate Democrats and Republicans. In 1998, after helping to pass a campaign-finance bill in the Illinois Senate, he boasted in his community paper, the Hyde Park Herald, that “the process was truly bipartisan from the start.”

He described politics as a system seized by two extremes. “Depending on your tastes, our condition is the natural result of radical conservatism or perverse liberalism,” he wrote. “Tom DeLay or Nancy Pelosi, big oil or greedy trial lawyers, religious zealots or gay activists, Fox News or the New York Times.” He repeated the theme later, while describing the fights between Bill Clinton and the Newt Gingrich-led House, in the nineteen-nineties: “In the back-and-forth between Clinton and Gingrich, and in the elections of 2000 and 2004, I sometimes felt as if I were watching the psychodrama of the Baby Boom generation—a tale rooted in old grudges and revenge plots hatched on a handful of college campuses long ago—played out on the national stage.” Washington, as he saw it, was self-defeatingly partisan. He believed that “any attempt by Democrats to pursue a more sharply partisan and ideological strategy misapprehends the moment we’re in.”

If there was a single unifying argument that defined Obamaism from his earliest days in politics to his Presidential campaign, it was the idea of post-partisanship. He was proposing himself as a transformative figure, the man who would spring the lock. In an essay published in The Atlantic, Andrew Sullivan, a self-proclaimed conservative, reflected on Obama’s heady appeal: “Unlike any of the other candidates, he could take America—finally—past the debilitating, self-perpetuating family quarrel of the Baby Boom generation that has long engulfed all of us.”

I -think- it depends on whether the parent(s) have been physically present in the US for a certain amount of time before the child is born, nationality and/or citizenship of the parents and civil status, is the child born in or out of wedlock.

I thought it was a pretty much closed case anyway?

All Democrats are socialists. Obama just happens to have bad luck that his father he never knew was from Africa.

The president should not dignify these claims with a response. He has better things to do than answer to a bunch of inbred Georgia hicks.

I would agree, except unfortunately, a judge (who is more than likely going to be biased if he or she acknowledges the claims) ordered his appearance, and he would face legal repercussions if he didn't.

Careful there. That sort of stereotyping might earn an infraction.

there are many natural born citizens in this country that are black. I am not sure how questioning one of them is racists.

Yeah, Malihi is hardly the "angel" that the right wing wants, he works at the Office of State Administrative Hearings - his rulings that you will find on line, do not really indicate a discernible political leaning either way - he's for the environment, against corrupt school boards, etc.. http://www.osah.ga.gov/judges-dir-de...taffID=mmalihi -- I think he's doing this in support of Obama, not in opposition. Either way, things like this work in Obama's favor. Side shows like this give the Dems even more chances to make their political opponents look like fringe lunatics and since many of them enjoy acting that way, every body wins. So what's the harm.
