Default Diplomacy with the Iberian Allied Chiefs

Legatus Lucius Libanus departed the Roman camp with five hundred Latin cavalry and set off to meet with Casturix. Making his way to the capitol as quickly as possible, Lucius feared ambush. After all, any of the roving Lusitanian raiders could appear at any moment and intercept. Upon reaching Casturix's camp Lucius dismounted and stalked about, searching for their elusive ally.

He is let into the camp and made his way to the tent. You are told to wait a few minutes while the chief is to judge a officer who escaped a fight.

Afther a few minutes the guards let you in. The chief bow's before you.
I am terribly sorry to make you wait dear ally, what bring you here today?

Lucius did not return the salutation, but pompously declared:

We are in need of your promised auxilaries. Now. We are insulted you have kept us waiting for this long. Romans march swiftly to the aid of their friends, as you can tell. I am unfamiliar with Spanish customs but seeing as the nature of our treaty demands that the client tribes act in accordance to Roman command and custom, I trust that you and your men are prepared to accompany me to meet with the Consul's forces.

I was not informed you were waiting dear ally, then i woul of course come right away.

But regarding the military, my professional troops are ready, but we are still missing about half of the militia. They are belived to bee here in some days.
Raiding parties of the enemy have harassed them and they has been reluctant to leave their homes. They are on the way now though.

My main concern lies with the cavalry. I wish to depart with the full complement of cavalry within the hour to rejoin the Consul. You may tarry here and wait for the infantry to return, but you cannot wait for long. If they have not returned within two days you are to depart and join up with the main army with whatever forces you can muster. We are going to hunt the Lusitanians down and bring their raiding to an end. Those are your orders, warchief.

Lucius turned smartly on his heel, exited the tent, and roused the allied cavalry. After commanding them to prepare to leave, he surveyed the men himself. The addition of the auxilaries would more than double his current command of cavalry, which was good. Before long all the troops had prepared to leave and Lucius departed with all the auxilary centuries of horse. Casturix, of course, had little say in this matter and Lucius intended to keep it that way.

I dont think the raidning forces will be of much truble anymore.
The activity has decreased and i havent got any reports of raids for some days. It seems much of the civilians has been evacuated east.
He tell you before you leave.
