This "Arab Spring" seems more and more dangerous.
I wonder what this means for Israel? Another potential enemy to be wary of?

« Le courage est toujours quelque chose de saint, un jugement divin entre deux idées. Défendre notre cause de plus en plus vigoureusement est conforme ŕ la nature humaine. Notre supręme raison d’ętre est donc de lutter ; on ne possčde vraiment que ce qu’on acquiert en combattant. »Ernst Jünger

Islamists are equal opportunity oppressors, they just disagree about who is going to be in charge of the oppressing. Don't worry.

I have another quotation from that article for you:
Nour al-Zintani, a participant in the month-long sit-in for a secular state, said the majority of Libyans wanted Islam to be a part of their life but not a strict interpretation of it.
"We all want sharia," she said, standing next to her teenage daughter, both of them wearing a Muslim headscarf, "but not the one they're talking about, the one that rejects women. We want a moderate Islam that gives women their rights."

"For what it’s worth: it’s never too late to be whoever you want to be. I hope you live a life you’re proud of, and if you find that you’re not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again."
Surely you mean Sunni - Shia conflict?
The Muslim Brotherhood was opposed to Mubarak for a long time and was marginalised, so it isn't too surprising that their party won. Domestically they don't seem too extreme (I don't think they'll turn Egypt into Saudi Arabia) but I just hope a lot of the rhetoric concerning Israel was just to win popular support; we'll have to judge them by their actions and not their words.
Strangely enough, from what I have read the more socially conservative Islamic Al-Nour party seems to have a more diplomatic approach to Israel than the FJP.

"We're nice mainly because we're rich and comfortable."
Everything the State says is a lie, everything it has is stolen.
State is the name of coldest of all the cold monsters. Coldly it lies; and this slips from its mouth: "I, the state, am the people"
Fear not, crusader, Prester John will save you from the wrath of the Devil.
There will, most certainly, be a 'crusade' in a very different form than we have ever seen within the next 50 years.
Time for the pope to gather his armies and free the suez canal.
Because as much as I am a strong critic of Israel, any kind of war there doesn't serve any people's interests, apart from the extremist governments and their lobbyists on both sides.
Considering Mubarak was propped up by Uncle Sam for a reason, could get real if the Muslim Brotherhood decides to intervene.
Fear not, crusader, Prester John will save you from the wrath of the Devil.
And the panicking begins over a party that vaguely resembles an Arab version of the Republican party as far as values goes. I love it, the hysteria will sustain me.
