    Default guard_mode by default

this is the only thing that is really ruining the pike formations, the fact that they don't have guard mode set on by default. this makes them turn their backs at the enemy while in a fight, after a while.

does anyone in the whole twc center know how to set guard mode on by default?

*it is possible. back in the days of rtw phalanxes used to start with guard mode on, basicaly there was a link inside the game mechanics that said something like this: if a unit is phalanx capable then make guard mode be its default melee state. the same thing happened in m2tw vanila just take a look at the vanila pikemen and you'll see that they start battle with guard mode turned on. in kingdoms they've removed it, that piece of algorithm that i've described above.
    * there is a way to make pikemen stand in guard mode by default and that is by using "default melee_state defend" added in the descr_formations_ai.txt for each specific unit block. but this has dezastruous consequences to the ai in terms of unit grouping and basicaly how it uses its units. so this solution is both impractical and i've looked into the descr_formations_ai.txt of the vanila m2tw and didn't see any "defend" line over there so there must be another way that CA didi this in the vanila game. again i'm talking about making guard_Mode be the default state of pike/phalanx(spear_wall) capable units.

if anyone knows anything about this problem please tell me because i've even sent a mail to CA asking them to tell me smth about this problem i didn't yet receive an answer.

just think about it for a second with this piece of algorithm solved phalanxes would be really great, and this'll be a very important piece of knowledge for modders because let's be honest any solution that exists up unitil now about phalanxes is not a great one. we must find what makes pikemen start with guard mode by default in m2tw vanila that's the whole point.
