The Grey Company

Hello All

I am playing Eriador at the moment, and have notices that the Grey company has been seriously buffed, and I can now defend Eriador from OOG and OOTMM quite well, whilst keeping the economy set due to this unit. I can kill 1000 orcs with these 78 soldiers. So i kill each mini stack before it becomes a big stack. For a big stack i only need a few hundred units to act as an anvil for the best mortal soldiers in the world.

I just want to say this feature is very good, and that i think all factions should have at least one unit of custom generals bodyguards to spice up the game.

I was thinking maybe for harad a mumakil general also.

Warg BG for Orcs and Goblins goes without saying.

Wow, I was waiting for the "but" and it didn't happen.

So far as things like Mumakil and Wargs go you might be interested in this: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=490115. I haven't got around to a 3.1 version yet and it doesn't add new units so the Wargs (as they are) would be pretty weak bodyguards.

may I ask how and on what settings? I play on VH/VH and after my arrows are used I may have killed 300-400units. once I must fight in charge after charge I find them pointless unless I can get a good charge on the general unit and take him out first.

The Grey company pwns all snaga and non spear orcs.

Only wargs and spear defeat the greys. So i skirmish all the spears and wargs, then charge the weak orcs and i can kill about 500 easily like this. 1000 is a challenge though.

Cool, looks interesting, i hope to check it out soon. It would be awesome if it was compatible with Barons mod.
