    Default production rating

    Hey,

currently I'm playing as the portuguese (german language version of Vanilla 1.05, no mods except for moving factions from "unplayable" to "unlockable" and setting the timescale to one turn/year down from two), and I experience this problem:

Why has my production rating (or whatever it might be called in english) decreased so drastically?

You can't edit your posts until after your 25th post, apparently. I don't know why, though.

Okay, thanks. For a long time I had been thinking that production rating is a measure of my farming earnings, so I worried that a bug might have occured.

I think the maximum in the screenshot shown above is about the point I started investing in expenisve buildings (citadel uprades, cathedrals, production buildings) instead of cheap economic buildings and smaller churches and professional units instead of militia.

Also, I have another question: As for auto-resolve battles, which difficulty settings will influence it? And will the AI actually become smarter in real-time battles using high or very high battle difficulty settings or will the AI's units just become more powerful in terms of attack and defence ratings as in RTW?

Thank you too. Never seen that before in any other forums.

Your production rating is based on the value of the buildings you are constructing and the value of the troops you are training.

This. To put it another way, your production rating will change massively from turn to turn. Its normal to see yourself rated at no. 1 in a turn where you have lots of money and are building things, and then drop to 10th or so if you decide to build very little in a turn to build up your treasury for something specific. It's really nothing to worry about.

Yup. This especially occurs after a tough war when you have to build dozens of buildings and troops quickly, followed by a time of peace where you don't have to build troops at all and just focus on less-costly, more economic buildings. Nothing to be worried about.

Does anyone know if your production rating affects your overall rating? With the explanation given above, the overall rating may be a little shaky, and that could be something to worry about if you're planning on declaring war.

I believe all ratings contribute to the overall rating, but as far as I can tell the population graph and the overall graph are always almost exactly the same so I believe that population is the variable that most affects your overall rank.
