Default White patches on strat figures???

Hi, I am finding white areas of strat figures, does any body know the cause of this or indeed the solution. I put the figures up in the custom Battle section and they came up fine and are also OK in Max. I'm a bit perplexed at this, any advice?

Haven't heard this one for awhile.

You need to add a smooth filter to any element of your model (torso, Legs, Weapons, head, ect) that has a skin ...

    does they look like this?

I once had the same problem http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=430853

the problem is solved rather surprisingly easy, thanks to Wlesmana and LuBu , you just need to either:
    a) making the strat map skin in smaller size (128 x 128) - dunno bout the logic behind this but this works surprisingly
    b) re-did the boning and skin modifiers to it's proper skin WITHOUT MIP MAPS *if you decide to make more detailed skin*

Hi, I've had a shot at the problem, it looks like the mip map thing the figs were already 128X128. The other problem is I'm not using photoshop but NW converter to Paint Shop Pro. I tried saving in NW without mip but that just crashes the game to a CTD when you open the camaign with the strat figure. I don't think there is a DDS plug in for PSP but I do have GIMP. Are there any DDS plugins for GIMP and work it that way?

Panic over, the smooth modifier in Max got the sucker working fine. Thanks you dudes my dastardly Republican spy is now stalking the enemy without white patches. And I know what to do with his fellow strat figure pals.

    Thanks
