    Completely serious though:
It is a great honour to be invited to the House of Marenostrum. I have been involved in Total War since playing Shogun (the board game) 6 years ago, but have only recently been active in the community. For me, Total War is not just a game or a series of games, it is a part of life. and for the Total War series, TWC is the place to be. I have always tried to help, and will continue to help other members of the community as much as it is within my power and my ability to do so. I shall vote wisely, always taking the good of the community, and the great House of Marenostrum in mind.

Although most active in the hosted community mods section, he has been very helpful in other areas and has continued to make well formed, intelligent posts. Like myself, he was recognized for rendering assistance to other members and that is certainly a benefit to the site. Through time and through the increased privilages associated with being a civitate - I am sure that he will grow as a member and contribute additionally to the site. He will also swell the ranks of the House of MareNostrum and improve its image greatly. Members of the CdeC, I ask that you confirm Ramon Gonzales y Garcia so that he may be rewarded for his servive to the site and ascend to the ranks of the Civitates and improve the site even moe than he has now.

I'm unsure on him. His posts are mainly okay, but not wonderful; however if th einformation on his modding from the patron is accurate its a good one to bring into the fold, however as someone who knows nothing about that I'd need it confirmed...
    So I haven't voted yet.

He appears to be a very good contributor, the majority of his threads are based within his subforum and ended up as stickys, and are all of a high quality i would say.

Judging by his paragraph he has a good knowledge of why he would want to be a Civitate. This combined with the fact he is an active member of a mod team with no warnings in my view makes him qualified for the rank.

i would take the fact that he is so commited to the TW series in general to mean that he does intend to remain active with this site and continue with the high standard he has already set.

    I vote yes

    I voted yes.

His work in the modding community appears impressive and his posts are at an acceptable level.

He also seems helpful in the TW areas.

Civitateship is an honourary status, too. A high level of activity is not required.

p.s. this may come up as a double post, I would have edited if it were not for the bloody validation system.

(does everyone else have to have posts validated too?)

The activity of a candidate is relevant for me, simply because i would tend to vote yes on someone who both deserves and wants it, simply honouring someone would not be a reason for me to vote yes.. but then again i wouldnt automaticaly vote no on someone just because they arent very active, its a matter of quality.

Essentially for me to vote yes for someone with relatively low activity, they would have to have demonstrated they want and understand the rank they are applying for - probably via the paragraph they wrote.

Which is pretty irrelevant surely? Its a title not a duty (though I made it pretty clear to my clients I see curial participation as a duty...)

Personally i feel that i'm more likely to vote yes for people who show a higher potential to contribute to the Curia than someone who is liable to ignore it completely, though in reality the only thing that matters is the degree of contribution they have, whatever form it takes. Ramon Gonzales y Garcia does contribute a lot to a specific subforum, and his posts are of a high quality from what i can tell

A tough one again. It matters not to me whether they intend to take part in the Curia. It's a nice bonus but the Civitate Rank was never created purely for that, as Sib has sadi before (I used to hold that view and have some sympathy with it). This chap is really helpful and incredibly polite - he is s trong candidate but he confines himself to areas where he is not required to show what he is capable of (I suspect he is capable of a lot). However, mods would fail on the score of developing ideas (due to the reason mentioned previously) but have proved to be excellent candidates. I shall, breaking with tradition, vote yes.

I voted yes, mostly on his work on Invasio Barbarorum-Flagellum De. I have a big old soft spot for modders, but with good reason. Their work is a big part of TWC. I think it is evident that this member has improved TWC, and made large contributions.

I read this thread yesterday or the day before and thought I had already voted. I just discovered I haven't voted, and it made me think why (sorry, bad short term memory). I was a bit undecided about this guy. He focuses a lot of mods and not enough on the other sections, but then I recalled a particular precedent that we had taken a few months back wherein great mods were given civitate status so as to encourage modders to remain in the TWC community and therefore create a more stable and unison body of modders in the process. So I vote yay.

He passes doesn't he? There are only four more potencial voters by my count, so he could not fail even if they all voted no.
