Default Which one flavor of RTR is most real&

I have Rome Total war with Barbarian Invasion and Alexander addons installed. There are two "flavors" of RTR, if I've got it correctly: RTR-PE-based ExRTR (what means it's based on RTR6) and most recent RTRVII. So, which one is the best and MOST realistic, lol?

Well RTR VI and RTR VII are quite different. RTR 6 is pretty much the normal setting from the vanilla campaign, with new units, an extended map (from the Indus to the Scottish Highlands, from Sahara to Scandivia) and two new factions, the Illyrians and the Hellenistic kingdom of Bactria. The Britons and the Dacians have been removed and the Romans are only one faction now.

RTR VII is has a completely different setting. It concentrates only on the Wester mediterrenean, which means there is no real ''superpower'' at the start of the game and of course there are a lot more provinces per country. There are a lot of new features which you can find here, including all the factions: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=479146

So RTR 6 is just an improvement (albeit a huge one) of the vanilla campaign while RTR 7 plays like a completely new game.

Well, that's quite vague statement, for those who didn't play original especially . At least, which one of these two "flavors" sports more features and more closely modelling political, administration and warfare mechanics of that age?

Well I thought you would have a look at the link that lists all the features on RTR VII But I think VII will better fit to what you hope for as it is maybe the most detailled presentation of this historical age in the game.
For example the new Roman Leadership system puts the cursus honorum in it, as your characters adopt certain posts like aedile or consul and are improving by it. If they don't have had a post yet, they are useless and have to go to the academy (or fight) and if they acquire skills they have to be in a town to keep them for the next round etc.
Another point are the new minor settlements, although they are own provinces (albeit little ones) they are like the farms, mines etc on Empire/Napoleon/Shogun 2 because you can't recruit troops there and only build a few buildings.
And of course there are a lot of historical characters and a few scripted battles at the beginning of the game (280 BC), for example the battle of Heraclea where Pyrrhos of Epiros faces a Roman army under the command of Publius Valerius Laevinus.
Finally I should mention special buildings like the Oracle of Delphi which have certain effects on their settlement/province.

I'm not saying here that RTR 6 is bad, it's just on a wider map with less details but all the big eastern factions. But for most historically accurate details, RTR VII is defo better and of course it should be an improvement anyway (as it's 7 and the other one is 6 ).
