Whenever I try to install Medieval: Total War on my PC, the game refuses to install.
It's not even starting up the install process.
I'm kinda at a loss as to what to do.
Get an external hard-drive, hook it up to a different computer (one that will allow install), then direct the install to the external directory (ex: D: or F: ). Once you've got the MTW folder installed there, you can run it on any computer by clicking on the MTW exe. Note, this does not preclude any graphics card incompatibilities you might have. Good luck.
EDIT: On further reflection, it occurs to me that your CD-R drive (or is it a DVD-R drive?) is not reading the disk at all. If you have an older copy of MTW-VI Gold, then this is likely your problem––since it cannot be read by a DVD-R drive. First of all, make sure that you do in fact have a CD-R drive. If you do, then make sure it's functional by trying another disk. Either way, it sounds like a hardware issue.
