How to create a .exe???

I have been wondering this for some time - how does one go about making an executable file? Does this require an extensive amount of programming knowledge, or is there some program out there which does the brunt of the work for you? Any help appreciated.

All you need is winrar click the files you want make in to the .exe and select winrar - add to archive and then tick create SFX archive

and executable that does what ? most (programming language) compilers allow the creation of an exe file that will execute your code when it is... executed. If you want a simple way of executing a number of command use a bat file. VBscript is also supported by Windows IIRC.

If you want an .exe for a mod, i found one that converts a zip file into a .exe and installs the files to any location if you set it up right.

Well, I recently contacted someone who is going to make a .exe for me for what I need, but he is using some advanced form of scripting - something I cannot do. Lusted, would you mind pointing me in the direction of the program you mentioned? If I could I would like to learn how to do this now so I can use it in the future.

Winrar does the job, but if you want a better one, google for "install creator".
